Pablo Cardenas

Pablo Cardenas is a nationally recognized expert in value-based care strategy, finance, and analytics. Prior to joining Heath Transformation Strategies, Pablo served as the senior advisor for value-based care at the Innovation Center at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). In this role, he led Accountable Care Organization (ACO) initiative visioning and advised center leadership and teams on total cost of care models, methodological approaches, and perspectives from the market and model participants.
Prior to his role at CMS, Pablo held leadership and advisory positions at agilon Health, Austin Regional Clinic, and Philips Healthcare. Pablo’s career has focused on working directly with healthcare provider organizations to navigate the value-based care landscape by providing trusted guidance on succeeding in risk arrangements in an increasingly complex environment. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University and currently resides in his hometown of Austin, Texas.
